Andrew Sedger

Andrew is a mature and motivated Registered Psychologist with a range of unique skills and experience. He comes to psychology from a 20-year career in communications where helped people understand, solve and explain complex issues. Andrew has a Bachelor of Social Science in Psychology (Honours) and is in the final semester of a Master of Clinical Psychology. He also has qualifications in environmental science and law.

Andrew has worked with children, adolescents and adults experiencing a diversity of challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, chronic pain, ADHD and learning difficulties. He has trained at the Western Sydney University Psychology Clinics and the Royal North Shore Hospital.

Andrew has a special interest in providing psychological interventions for individuals and families experiencing anxiety and work/study stress. He has published research in the area of meaningful work and leadership.

Andrew therapeutic style is warm, curious and calm. He draws on a wide range of evidence-based techniques to deliver a tailored solutions that works best for each client. He most commonly uses cognitive and behavioural strategies, as well as specific practices from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Narrative Therapy and Schema Therapy. He has deep knowledge and applied skills in mental health, workplace issues and behavioural change and is energised by helping people to flourish in work and life.

Outside of work, Andrew enjoys spending time with his wife and three children. He also likes exploring the great outdoors on foot, bicycle and motorbike (but not at once). He plays the ukulele and piano and would love to be able to sing.

Andrew is available between 10am-6pm on Monday, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
