David has worked across various clinical psychology settings, including inpatient and outpatient hospital settings, in a university clinic, and in private practice. He is passionate about working with adults, children and adolescents experiencing anxiety, depression grief, adjustment difficulties, general stress and relationship difficulties. He has published research on anxiety disorders. His main therapy modalities include CBT, ACT, DBT, and schema therapy. As an individual, David is a warm and compassionate therapist, yet thrives on utilising evidence based therapy approaches to help clients achieve positive mental health outcomes.

David is also the Testing Clinic Lead at Breakthrough Psychology Practice, conducting Psychometric Testing for intellectual disability, learning disorders, and ADHD. He is very passionate about conducting a thorough assessment which can have a significant impact on a child’s education and well-being in a school, home and social setting. David goes the extra effort to collaborate with parents, school teachers and Paediatrians during and after the completion of the Psychometric Testing.

He looks forward to running group programs at Breakthrough in the near future, including Study Without Stress (for year 11 and 12 students) and the Cool Kids Anxiety Program (for children of all ages).

David previously worked as a musician and music tutor in high schools. He enjoys spending time with his family, reading, and playing double bass.

David is available on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays
